Note: Characters can join any pack when ever they wish and do not have to be a loner before they can join a pack. How does your character join a pack? Simply add the information to their profile of Pack and Rank(don't forget to put the pack you/they chose in the profile's subject too) and they're automatic members of the pack. There are no requirements to joining a pack and you do not need to ask for someone's permission to join one.
The Shinkou Pack While there have been many alphas of Shinkou throughout the years, Nightbane's legacy and the efforts of his alpha female, Fallowwind, are revered amongst the Shinkou pack members who know of them. When Fallowind was kill by Giaku scouts, Nightbane went up against the druin leader Tartarus in a one on one battle. Though this was the fight that marked Tartarus's defeat, Nightbane did not survive and his eldest daughter Wyndbain became the new alpha female. However, because of Tartarus' defeat and the decreasing number of soldiers on either side, the war between the two groups dissolved shortly after Wyndbain's rise to leadership. After a long war between the wolves and the druins, the wolf pack settled down on the territory and became known as the Shinkou Wolves, naming their new pack after the land that they now lived on. Because of their history, the pack is mostly made up of wolves and their older relatives who took part in the war. The elders' dislike of Giaku is often translated to the pups through their seniors, so it is not uncommon for newborn pups to develop a fear or dislike of Giaku.
The Shinkou Pack is currently led by the alpha female Wyndbain. Her mate and the previous alpha male Yueh was killed some years ago, but they had nine pups together before his death.
After the fighting had subsided, Shinkou had so many pack members that the large group was split into two packs. One kept the name of Shinkou, while the new group became known as Akeru. Shinkou and Akeru are on friendly terms and have an alliance together, allowing each others members to roam freely throughout the allied packs' lands.
The Akeru Pack
Most of the wolves in Akeru were individuals who had arrived after the war died down or just as it was nearing its end. Though they may know of the great battle against Giaku from their elders who saw the war for themselves, the new generations of Akeru do not hate Giaku as much as the members of Shinkou. Despite this however, they are not allies of Giaku and because they are allies of Shinkou, Giaku does not like them. Shinkou and Akeru are on friendly terms and have an alliance together, allowing each others members to roam freely throughout the allied packs' lands.
Akeru was first led by Wyndbain's half-sister, Fyramist. When complications in Fyramist's leadership capabilities arose, Zydeko and Novawing, former betas in the pack, took over as the acting alpha male and female.
The Giaku Pack
(coming soon. Run down: Giaku was the name given to the pack of Druins. Although it was the Shinkou and Akeru wolves who began calling them this, their leader, Tartarus, took a liking to the name and adopted it. Giaku members hold a never ending grudge against Shinkou and Akeru and the territories still wage battles against each other from time to time. Shinkou and Akeru are constantly on the look out for Giaku warriors trying to invade or take the initiative.)
